A Sanctuary of Stillness

Welcome to AnaTui, a serene luxury retreat overlooking Lake Taupō, where tranquil design, restorative energy and breathtaking natural beauty come together to create a deeply immersive escape.

Perfectly positioned as a base to explore the central North Island, AnaTui offers easy access to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, world-class fly fishing, mountain biking, hiking, geothermal parks and the ski fields of Mount Ruapehu. The property’s own private heli-pad provides effortless access to the region and enables bespoke experiences further afield.

Or simply stay in — practise yoga in the dedicated wellness space, enjoy a massage, or indulge in meals prepared by a private chef using exceptional local produce. Every stay can be tailored, from private helicopter excursions and lake cruises to fly fishing adventures or unhurried days spent soaking in the serenity.

AnaTui is more than a luxury villa; it is a place to reset, reconnect and retreat — where indulgence feels grounded, privacy is absolute, and every moment is infused with calm.

This is Taupō at its most refined and restorative. Set high above the lake with uninterrupted lake and mountain views, AnaTui is a private sanctuary designed for renewal. From the moment you pass through the hand-carved doors and cross the tranquil, water-lined entranceway, the outside world gently fades away.

AnaTui is a modern architectural retreat shaped by principles of flow, calm and balance. These influences are subtly woven through the design, sitting in harmony with the raw, elemental beauty of Aotearoa’s central North Island. Every detail has been carefully considered to support relaxation, privacy and effortless luxury.

Wake after a restful night in one of four beautifully appointed ensuite bedrooms (accommodating up to eight guests), where mornings begin with soft light across the lake and evenings settle into quiet comfort. Ideal for families or groups of friends, the villa balances shared living with personal retreat, and includes dedicated staff quarters for those travelling with additional support.

Indoor and outdoor living unfold seamlessly. A striking 20-metre glass-ended heated pool appears to flow directly into the lake beyond, while the spa, sauna and ice bath invite deep restoration. Inside, a home theatre, games room and wine room offer relaxed entertainment; outside, the fire pit becomes a natural gathering place beneath star-filled skies.

The property is powered by an on-site solar farm, with all water captured and stored in underground reservoirs for use throughout the villa. Significant investment has been made in regenerating native flora to support local wildlife, and all trades and services involved in the build were sourced locally.

An organic greenhouse and garden support a garden-to-plate philosophy, supplying homegrown vegetables, herbs and spices. Seafood and meat are sourced from accredited local farmers and suppliers committed to sustainable practices.

AnaTui also features a high-quality fresh water pool system that produces exceptionally clean water without chlorine, minerals or salts, alongside a self-sustaining eco-friendly entrance water feature balanced naturally with plants and fish. All guest amenities and operational practices have been carefully selected with sustainability in mind, using biodegradable and environmentally responsible materials wherever possible.

At AnaTui, luxury and environmental stewardship exist in perfect harmony — allowing guests to relax deeply, knowing their stay treads lightly on this remarkable landscape.
